It’s Snowing!
Those who know me, know I’m not really much for summer unless there’s an ocean spread out at my feet. I’m a winter person. So the fact that we’re currently experiencing about our 3rd significant (meaning more than an inch-ish?) of da white stuff this season is cause for celebration!! I may just have to bake cookies, today. Sugar free of course … sigh. Or maybe not. (Bleh)Anyway, one thing I like to do when showing off my artsy stuff, especially when I haven’t been posting to my bog every couple of days, is to publish something that’s moderately seasonal. I was just glancing through my pitifully few recent additions and noticed that one of my faves has never been displayed. So here it is!
Chronic Blog-Abandonitis
Well, hey. Here I am again!!!!! I won’t bore you with long, boring reasons why I disappeared again. There really is no good reason!! I’m fine, we’re fine. No Covid, no scary bouts of depression, the house didn’t burn down … no nothing! Just puttering along, focusing creative energies (what there may be of them) on visual artsy-fartsy stuff instead of the written (typed?) word. And as previously, my apologies for being such an inconsistent poop … and another promise to try to be here more regularly … again!!! (Fingers crossed!)
Firefly Twilight
“Firefly Twilight” … © Lois Bryan Photography and Digital ArtOn a soft June evening, just as the sun dips below the western horizon, here in the Mid-Atlantic area of the US … if you’re very lucky … you may see magic. The wind must be calm, the day will have to have been clear and warm, the frogs in the ponds must be singing their best songs … if all these conditions are met … the world will light up.
Cheerfulness
Ok, so. Da Virus. No dancing around it … even though we’re currently out of isolation … it still exists and none of us really knows what’s around the next corner. Ug.We’ve all got our coping mechanisms … ignore the whole mess, wallow in it, worry yourself to death, etc. Mine seems to be following The Guidelines but ignoring the news, playing cheerful music, watching happy movies and creating colorful art. I’ve been painting lots of flowers. The flowers are sort of an indulgence, actually. They don’t exactly sell off the shelves, but they are such fun to create … and they’re so flippin’ cheerful!!
