Party Time

Yeeeeahhhhhh … I’m back.  Shhhhhhh!!  Let’s not go crazy … we’ll see what happens.

If I can stick to it for a bit this time, I’ll do (yet another) apology-tour-explanation blog.  But not right now.

“Party Time In The Tropics” is my most recent upload to my website.  It’s a fun, silly thing that’s available as wall art, decorator throw pillows, puzzles, coffee mugs and more.  I digitally hand-painted it with EscapeMotions Rebelle‘s fabulous watercolor brushes … straight from my imagination. No photography base, no Ai programs involved.

Party Time In The Tropics

If I remembered how to do it, clicking on the image should take you to my website where you can see the image better, as well as the products it’s on.  If I didn’t do it right and can’t figure it out, here’s the link: Party Time In The Tropics.  At my home base, Fine Art America, we’re being encouraged to accept and include “Ai”‘s thoughts on our new uploads in our descriptions there.  Apparently a lot of the other members weren’t adding a description at all, so Fine Art America offered this to us in a bid to get the attention of Google and other search engines.  Here’s what it had to say about this image:  “A green palm tree stands out against a dynamic, colorful background, mixing warm yellows and cool blues. The blend of colors and abstract shapes creates a sense of motion and energy. Delicate splashes of bright hues add an element of spontaneity.”  Meh?  Ok, I guess.  I of course added more to the description.

About the title, ever since I was a little girl I’ve wondered about the lives of inanimate objects, animals, flowers and trees when humans aren’t lurking around. Well, as I kid, I wondered mostly about my toys.  It weirded me out when I’d wake up in the morning and my toys would be in a different place than when I’d fallen asleep.   I still wonder about that.  (And yes, Pixar got the idea from me.  Nooo, not really ).  But even now in my imagination I like to think of things partying and playing when they’re free of us. Come to think of it, I may have blogged about this before?  Anyway.  It must be getting harder for toys and animals and trees now that humans have cameras all over the place.  But I bet it still happens!!

I have no idea if the background to “Party Time” is mountains or a line of purple trees or ocean waves heading in or what … that’s up to you.  I’m not really wildly into abstract … yeah, a little bit … but mostly not. I’m just in the mood to try and crank up this poor blog again and this happens to be the image I’m promoting right now.

“Party Time” really started out as me experimenting with the watercolor function in Rebelle (the way the colors swoosh around absolutely fascinates me).  It’s a program for creating paintings that simulates oils, watercolors, pastels and more.  I used to use Corel Painter pretty exclusively for these kinds of things, but I’ve branched out a bit.  I do still digitally hand-paint with Corel, of course, and still do plenty of straight photography.  But this particular watercolor piece was just me playing.  Even though it was nonsense, for some reason, I didn’t delete it.  As I was poking around in the computer the other day I rediscovered it and decided to play some more … and here it is.  If I do decide to keep adding to the blog, I’ll add some more created with the Rebelle oil brushes and others, plus some from Corel and some photography.  Even though I’ve neglected the blog, I’ve managed to keep creating and posting artsy stuff at my main website.

By the way, nothing of my images is created with any of the Artificial Intelligence Programs … and I understand that a lot of people are even using Artificial Intelligence Programs to do the writing for them as well.  I’m not doing that either.  Other than the image description that Fine Art America is encouraging us to use, all my writing … warts and misplaced commas and all … is pure human me.

As the Wicked Witch Of The West said in Oz, “What a world, what a world.”

    • Robin!!!!!!! Yep … giving it yet another go. I dare not even check to see how many stops and starts I’ve put this poor blog through. I did visit you, honey … I left a note. Hoping, fingers and toes crossed, that a compromise can be worked out … or that you go ahead and make the decision to jump into the volcano. Sigh.
